While inside the house I am packing, outside dozens of Waxwings are waiting for their turn at the Holly bush. How do they know whose turn it is? They are organized, systematic and move quickly on when their work here is done. I think I could use some lessons.

The road is beginning to look like a road.

Now that the trees have been cleared, the site for the house is looking more like a yard. Above the site a long ditch has been dug to let water continue to flow without affecting the yard. If you say yard enough it really helps.

Ferns grow everywhere in my yard (said it again).
