It is important to mark the beginning of Spring with an event. So when the neighbour's new kitten climbs a tree it's time to call in the fire department. I've always enjoyed what a small town has to offer and this is one more thing to add to the list. A volunteer fire department that takes all calls seriously.Friday, April 9, 2010

Adam and Audrey
This past month (March..ahem), found everyone enjoying the last of the snowy days in different ways. Audrey was ready for the snow to be GONE and so she spent many days snug inside working on a variety of projects.
Adam waited patiently..well..not sooo patiently for his parcel to arrive. New snowboard wax. That couldn't possibly be a cat on the table. Not in my house. Not on my table. Yikes.
Can you believe that one of the most important snowboarding lessons is to learn how to iron. What a perk! And so one more winter has come and gone. Thoroughly enjoyed but hardly documented. Ah well, spring is a time for new beginnings.

Hibernation
I'm not really sure where the past month has gone. There seems to be so much activity an yet so little made it to my camera.
Joseph loves being home, spending time working on whatever catches his interest on that day. For Joe this could mean lego battles, adventure novels... or even a little math.
Any day can be a science day. In fact, when you have the option to do what you want when you want all day everyday can be the right time for a little experimenting.

When you are on a roll you gotta just keep going.
I'm happy to be able to stay home because... it does look rather cold out there.
Not everyone is interested in staying inside when the snow is piling up and the wind is blowing, and when Adam calls for a photographer... well what's a Mom to do?

Finding Routine
Routine means snowboarding, swimming, skating, more snowboarding (must remember to take my camera) with a little math and reading thrown in for good measure. Of course, there has been stuff to make as well. Because what is a week without making stuff?
The best creations are those things that are needed and will get plenty of use.
Besides making things...plants are growing around here. Joseph's bean plant has real live beans! I love seeing them in the kitchen in January.Tuesday, January 5, 2010
